Re: Trogg Concerns...(Looooong)

Jon,
You said it very well. For me it is as important to recognize and applaud
the originators of the garage sound in person as it is to hear them
recreate (sometimes amazingly well) their original sounds. I suspect that
some folks who complain about them being on the bill are more tuned into
the current bands and think of the '60s ones as coming out of the
distant past (I know of a few folks like that).

I really appreciate your efforts in getting these bands back together and
bringing them up to speed. I would also bet that they much prefer playing
for an audience that is tuned into their original vibe and expects to hear
some passion, over one at a lounge with a vague sense of who they are,
only wanting to hear their one top ten hit. If I had been in one of those
bands 35 years ago, I would think it was really cool to go in the time
machine back to my youth and rip it up like I did as a teen... maybe with
my wife and grown-up kids out there watching. I would bet that for a lot
of them it is a real gas to be able to do that.

Speaking of Troggs concerns, who is in the Blues Magoos? Have they played
together since they broke up way back when?
