Not sure why no one has responded to this, but I'll take a stab.
Pepperisms is well worth buying if you're into obscure beatles induced 60's
pop (and, of course, you should be).
Some of the stiff is a little lightweight, to my ears, but on the whole I've
returned to this comp. a lot more than most others I've bought recently. If
you've never heard the Blossom Toes, Los Shakers or We All Together (the 3
bands I'm most familiar with) this is a good place to start, although their
best songs aren't included.
"You'd Better Cry" by Robin, Teddy & The Playboys is a personal favorite that
sounds like a 1964 Beatles single overlaid with Taxman-esque acid guitar.
The Blossom Toes track is "When The Alarm Clock Rings" from their first album
"We Are Ever So Clean" which was recently reissued (and is amazing).
