My intro to garage was when I was 20: I had bought the Nuggets double-LP
because it had "Dirty Water" and "Psychotic Reaction" on it (I only
listened to blues up til this point) and promptly set it aside with the
other discs I'd bought until much later that night when I was coming down
from the most harrowing acid trip I'd ever had.  I put on the first record
and the opening sound of "Too Much To Dream" shot from one speaker to the
other and the rest was history.
