for all you fans of Turkish rock of the '60s,
on July 11, after a 30 year hiatus, MAVI ISIKLAR one
of the top bands in Turkey from '64-'70, played a gig.
featuring all original members, the band played 2 sets
of one hr each and were lively and exciting. Mavi
Isiklar played a mix of beat, garage, and rocked up
versions of Turkish folk songs. leader singer sounded
better than on the original records and the guitar
played played some great middle eastern raga rock
guitar on 3 or 4 songs.
